Jacob Pomrenke

Jacob Pomrenke is the Director of Editorial Content for the Society for American Baseball Research in Phoenix, Arizona. He has been an active SABR member since 1998 and is the Chairman and Newsletter Editor for SABR’s Black Sox Scandal Research Committee.

He is the editor of Scandal on the South Side: The 1919 Chicago White Sox, published by SABR in 2015, and the Eight Myths Out project in 2019. He has written widely about baseball scandals and has made appearances as a subject-matter expert on MLB Network, ESPN, PBS, Fox Sports, and many other TV, radio, and online media outlets.

Prior to joining the SABR staff in 2011, he spent 10 years working as a reporter, page designer, and editor at the North County Times and San Bernardino Sun newspapers in California, and The Times in his hometown of Gainesville, Georgia.

Jacob joined the Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum in 2019 on the Advisory Board and has been a wealth of information to us all.
